GeoTBI in the spotlight: published in the American Journal of Public Health

We are delighted to see EPFL highlighting GeoTBI, an initiative supported by the EANS Foundation, with initial support from the Threestones Foundation.

Bringing together the HUG NeuroCentre and EPFL’s GeoME Lab, with contributions f rom Dr. Stéphane Joost and Dr. Philippe Voruz, the project explores new ways to better understand traumatic brain injury and inform prevention strategies.

An important milestone for the whole team, co-led by Prof. Karl Schaller, President of the EANS Foundation, and Dr. Giannina Rita Iannotti, Coordinator of the HUG NeuroCentre.

The story explores how a collaboration between EPFL and the NeuroCentre at HUG evolved from student research into a broader, long-term programme aimed at better understanding traumatic brain injury and developing future prevention strategies.

The scientific findings  have also been published  in the American  Journal of Public Health (AJPH), marking an important  milestone  for the research team.
